Bania (also spelled Baniya, Banija, Banya, Vaniya, Vani, Vania, and Vanya) is a mercantile caste primarily from the Indian states of Rajasthan and Gujarat, with significant diasporic communities in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Bengal, Maharashtra (particularly Mumbai) and northern states of India. Antoñita Singla
Antoñita Singla (born 1948) is a Catalan-born Romani flamenco dancer and actress. She often went by the stage name Antoñita La Singla or simply "La Singla". Early life Antonia Singla Contreras was born in 1948 in the neighborhood Somorrostro de la Barceloneta, in Barcelona, Spain. At the time of her birth, this neighborhood was a shanty town and a Romani community. A few days after her birth she was in pain, perhaps caused by meningitis, and lost her hearing. In 1968, she made a partial recovery from her medical condition. While she was growing up, La Singla learned to dance rumba, fandango, bulerías and flamenco with considerable skill. Singla began to dance by watching her mother clapping, absorbing the rhythm and turning it into a really remarkable dance full of emotions. Sarup Chand Singla (born 13 April 1961) is an Indian politician and a businessman. He was the Member of Punjab Legislative Assembly from Bathinda Urban Constituency and the Chief Parliamentary Secretary. He Left Akali Dal on 16 March 2022 and joined BJP on 4 June 2022. Vijay Inder Singla (born 1 December 1971) is an Indian politician from Punjab. He is former member of Punjab Legislative Assembly. He is a member of Indian National Congress.
